As a Senior People & Culture Business Partner, you will help shape the culture that powers our people and elevate the employee experience. This is your opportunity to influence organisation‑wide People & Culture strategy while staying closely connected to the teams you support.

You will partner with leaders, drive meaningful people initiatives, and help build a high‑performance, values‑aligned workplace, all with a front‑row seat to some of the world’s most iconic action sports and lifestyle brands, including Billabong, Quiksilver, Roxy, RVCA, Volcom, Boardriders and Surf Dive ‘n Ski.

In this role you will have the opportunity to contribute to a diverse workforce across our Corporate teams, Distribution Centre and 120+ Retail Stores throughout Australia. This permanent fulltime hybrid role is based at our Burleigh Heads Head Office on the Gold Coast.

What You’ll Do

As a Senior People & Culture Business Partner, your support will span the full employee lifecycle, ensuring consistent, high‑quality People & Culture service delivery across the business while using these insights to contribute to strategic People & Culture initiatives to strengthen our culture, capability and employee experience.

You will:

Act as a trusted advisor to leaders, providing coaching, guidance and support across all people matters including ER/IR, performance, policy and legislation

Develop strong partnerships with leaders and team members to build capability and drive a consistent, high quality people experience

Partner with the Head of People & Culture and the People & Culture team to design, implement and embed P&C strategy and initiatives

Guide leaders through complex employee relations matters and performance conversations

Analyse people data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement

Support remuneration processes, including benchmarking, minimum wage reviews and annual remuneration cycles

Monitor morale and engagement through exit interviews, feedback and engagement insights

Contribute to WHS, wellbeing and workers compensation initiatives

Lead or support P&C projects and change programs as needed

What You Bring

You’re an experienced people & culture generalist with strong judgement, excellent relationship building skills and the confidence to influence at all levels. You thrive in a dynamic environment and balance strategic thinking with hands‑on delivery.

You’ll bring:

Demonstrated operational People & Culture generalist experience, ideally within the retail or distribution industry.

Extensive experience across generalist HR, including employee relations and organisational support.

Strong knowledge of the Australian IR system, Awards and employment legislation.

Experience supporting workers compensation and wellbeing initiatives.

Proficiency in HRIS platforms, reporting and people analytics (Tanda experience beneficial but not essential).

Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships.

Proven ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities.

Coaching and mentoring capability.

Confidence delivering training and engagement sessions.

A collaborative, adaptable and values aligned approach.
