For Purpose Aged Care Australia (FPACA) is a purpose‑led, not‑for‑profit organisation entering a phase of national growth and operational transformation. We’re seeking an experienced senior leader from the aged care sector to lead enterprise‑wide operational improvement projects that strengthen care quality, safety, workforce outcomes, and the financial sustainability of our Homes.
The Role
This role is ideally suited to someone with experience in a Regional or multi‑site operational leadership role, who understands the realities of running Homes day to day and has successfully delivered improvement and transformation initiatives across a portfolio. You will bring the ability to translate strategy into practical action, working closely with executive leaders, support office teams, and operational leaders to deliver measurable and sustainable outcomes.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this senior leadership position leads the design and delivery of operational improvement projects across FPACA’s residential aged care services. You will ensure projects are executed consistently, with strong governance, measurable results, and lasting impact across operations.
This role will be based out of one of our sites within VIC, NSW, QLD or WA.
Key Focus Areas
Lead enterprise‑wide operational improvement projects aligned to strategic priorities
Translate executive strategy into executable work programs and implementation plans
Establish clear project governance, milestones, risks, reporting and success measures
Deliver projects on time, within scope and budget, with measurable outcomes
Lead change management to ensure initiatives are adopted and sustained
Manage impacts across workforce, systems, care delivery and culture
Partner with General Managers and Residential Managers to co-design and embed improvements
Provide concise, high‑quality reporting to executive and board forums
Support regulatory compliance, resident safety and care quality outcomes
About You
Demonstrated leadership experience in aged care or a similarly regulated sector
Strong understanding of aged care legislation, Accreditation Standards and compliance frameworks
Proven experience delivering multi‑site operational improvement or transformation initiatives
Strong financial and budget management capability
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A collaborative, pragmatic leadership style with the ability to influence at all levels
Qualifications & Requirements
Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, management, health or a related discipline
Current National Police Check
Right to work in Australia
Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel periodically
