Senior Mining Engineer

to join our team to deliver on our growth plans and be a part of this exciting future. This role reports to the Senior Superintendent – Integrated Mine Planning. It is responsible for the safe, compliant, and integrated delivery of engineering outcomes across operating open pit mines and underground projects transitioning from development into execution. Providing technical assurance, statutory compliance, and project governance, ensuring open pit operations remain compliant and optimized while underground works are delivered in accordance with approved designs, permits, and execution strategies. Key responsibilities

Lead and support the engineering delivery of underground projects, managing interfaces with surface operations and ensuring a smooth transition to operational readiness. Provide engineering governance and compliance oversight for open pit projects, ensuring statutory, design, and company standard requirements are met. Establish and manage engineering compliance frameworks, including design control, risk management, statutory obligations, and regulatory engagement. Identify, manage, and independently challenge technical and operational risks to protect safety, schedule, and value across mining activities. Support contract strategy and oversee contractor performance, variations, and claims to ensure technical, safety, and contractual compliance. Ensure underground projects are delivered with strong operational alignment and are fully prepared for effective handover into operations. Maintain robust reporting and drive continuous improvement in engineering standards, compliance systems, and project execution frameworks. Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Statutory appointment or professional registration (desirable). 8–12+ years’ experience in mining engineering roles. Demonstrated open pit operational experience. Proven involvement in underground project delivery (development or expansion). Experience working in live operational environments with concurrent projects.
