Director

People Services Branch supports DVA in its commitment to deliver outcomes for veterans, their families and the Australian Government through the provision of exceptional human resource services, advice and strategies that are underpinned by evidence, policies and legislation.

The services and advice provided by the Branch run across the following human resource streams:

Recruitment, learning and development

Culture and workforce planning

Work health and safety

Performance and conduct

Workplace relations

HR systems and operations

Change management.

People Services works in partnership with DVA business areas to foster a workplace culture that supports diversity and encourages innovation.

The key duties of the position include As an EL2 Director in DVA People Services you will:

Lead, develop and support a geographically dispersed workforce

Effectively represent the Branch at committees and forums

Contribute to strategic planning priorities and anticipate key issues that have a strategic and operational impact to the work of the branch, division and department

Develop briefs, reports and communications for Senior Executive

Maintain an informed understanding of contemporary human resource concepts and embed these within work practices as appropriate

Work collaboratively across the Branch and with DVA business areas to deliver effective human resource supports and services.
