Job Description
This firm provides ambitious lawyers with a platform to lead significant property transactions and fast-track their career growth. You will gain:
Direct involvement in high-value property developments across Australia.
Exposure to complex transactional work, rather than routine property matters.
The opportunity to work in a flexible, hybrid environment.
Mentorship and career development alongside experienced senior lawyers.
Competitive remuneration including a tiered bonus structure and incentives for client generation.
The Role
An excellent opportunity for a commercial property lawyer with 2+ years post-admission experience to join a leading commercial law practice with a strong focus on property development. The team works across residential, commercial, and industrial projects, including multi-lot developments, off-the-plan sales, high-volume conveyancing, joint ventures, and banking & finance matters.
In this hands-on, transaction-focused role, you will work closely with senior lawyers on all stages of the property development lifecycle, including:
Leading site acquisition and due diligence, structuring deals, negotiating contracts, and advising on tax and regulatory implications.
Navigating planning approvals and environmental requirements, including negotiating conditions, managing objections or appeals, and advising on infrastructure contributions.
Advising on joint venture arrangements, development management agreements, and related finance or security structures.
Drafting and negotiating construction contracts and consultant agreements.
Supporting project finance, including reviewing and preparing loan and security documentation.
Managing multi-lot and off-the-plan developments, including settlements, agreements for lease, and compliance with Land Titles requirements.
Advising on strata plans, community management statements, and establishing owners corporations for multi-lot or strata developments.
About You
Minimum 2 years post-admission experience in property and commercial, or banking & finance law
Knowledge of PEXA, Land Titles, and project conveyancing
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and client relationship skills
Commercially aware, proactive, and collaborative.
