Job Description

Creates a culture that attracts, trains, retains and empowers high calibre medical and other clinical staff within the department/program.

Functions as a senior leader within the Surgical Services and Critical Care Program providing high quality health care in the area of gastroenterology services to The Prince Charles Hospital.

Collaborates with key stakeholders in planning and strategy and delivery of services, including service redesign, innovation and adoption of new technology.

About you Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

Ensuring that the full range of services provided by the Gastroenterology Services is of a high quality, where safety and effective care is at the forefront of clinical practice.

Leading the development of gastroenterology services on the TPCH campus and outreach services.

Working collaboratively with internal clinical department leads and portfolio holders to further the objectives of the Program.

Advising on treatment and technology developments in gastroenterology services and the implications of these for service development, cost and activity prediction.
