We exclusively own and operate 3 regional intermodal rail terminals in Warrnambool, Mildura and Emerald.
THE OPPORTUNITY
The General Manager โ Warrnambool is responsible for the commercial, operational and strategic success of the Seaway Intermodal business across all sites. Working closely with Site Directors and the Executive General Manager โ Intermodal you will:
Promote a safety-first culture, ensuring appropriate safety protocols are followed and run regular team toolbox meetings
Day to day staff management including workload distribution, performance management, coordination/monitoring of leave and staff development & engagement
Develop and implement SOPs and maintain regular liaison with internal departments and client/suppliers to maintain overall site productivity
Ensure daily warehouse operations KPIs are met such as but not limited to container packs/unpacks, pre-loads, documentation, stock control
Oversee day to day operations and conduct regular walkthroughs to ensure equipment/signage/infrastructure are maintained
Develop and maintain strong customer relationships
Prepare and manage warehouse budgets/costs
THE CANDIDATE
Required Experience & Knowledge
Minimum 5+ years in a warehouse operations management position
Comprehensive knowledge of warehouse policies & procedures
Thorough understanding of primary goods and/or dairy product logistics requirements
Demonstrated people management and leadership experience, preferably of a large team with the ability to coach and motivate others
Comfortable conducting difficult conversations
Excellent organisational and planning skills

Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in warehouse management systems, inventory software and Microsoft Office suite
Current Victorian Driverโs licence and own car
Desired
Current forklift licence
Current dangerous goods licence
Prior experience / knowledge working with PAVE system
Experience in change management
Degree/Qualification in logistics & distribution
