Job Description

For more than 40 years, Simba has been a trusted leader in the global textile industry, combining deep product knowledge with a relentless focus on quality, performance and execution. Today, we are equally defined by how we use technology to evolve and grow. We invest heavily in modern systems, data and AI to make smarter decisions, work more efficiently and create greater visibility across every part of the business, from design and supply chain through to customer experience and sustainability.

Technology at Simba is not an afterthought or a support function; it is a strategic driver of outcomes and a critical enabler of our future. We embrace innovation, challenge the status quo and continuously look for better ways to operate, scale and compete in a fast‑moving global market.

About the role We are seeking a Technology Manager to lead our IT direction, supporting strong business outcomes today while preparing the foundations for future growth. The role will shape enterprise architecture, guide the responsible adoption of AI, and lead a significant Netsuite ERP optimisation program.

This is a senior, hands on leadership role that balances long term tech strategy with practical execution, ensuring systems, processes and capabilities enable Simba to operate efficiently and scale with confidence.

Key responsibilities

Own and lead the organisation-wide technology stack and roadmap, ensuring alignment to business priorities and future growth.

Establish and lead enterprise architecture and infrastructure, reducing complexity and ensuring systems are scalable, secure and fit for purpose.

Successfully completing a major NetSuite ERP optimisation program, including governance, vendor management, change management and user adoption.

Guide the practical and responsible use of AI, identifying real use cases that improve efficiency, insight and decision making while maintaining strong governance and data integrity.

Lead, coach and develop a small, talented IT team across infrastructure, networks and data.

Oversee IT operations to ensure reliable, secure and well-governed day-to-day service delivery.

Manage vendor partnerships end-to-end, including contracts, performance, costs and accountability for outcomes.

Provide governance and oversight across IT projects, ensuring business requirements are met, and initiatives are delivered on time and within budget.

Engage closely with business stakeholders to understand operational pain points, translate needs into technology solutions, and prioritise the project backlog accordingly.

Plan and oversee technology budgets and investment decisions with a strong commercial mindset.

About you You are obsessed with technology and AI, with a strong curiosity for how it can be applied practically to improve outcomes. You engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels, communicate complex ideas clearly, and know how to lift initiatives from idea to delivery while bringing people along for the journey. You are comfortable operating at both strategic and hands on levels, with a strong focus on outcomes and user experience.

Specifically you will have:

Senior IT leadership experience (Head of IT or similar), with the ability to align technology decisions to business priorities and reduce complexity.

Demonstrated experience leading at least one major ERP implementation or optimisation program (preferably Netsuite), including vendor management, governance, change management and business adoption.

Strong hands‑on experience with the Microsoft ecosystem, including Microsoft 365.

Solid understanding of networking fundamentals.

Experience managing core business systems and integrations (ERP, WMS, CRM)

Practical cyber security experience, including MFA, endpoint protection, backups and access controls.

Experience managing software vendors, budgets and leading secure, resilient and well-governed IT operations.

A practical, curious mindset with regular use of AI tools and a clear view on how emerging technologies can deliver real business value.

Why Simba? This is an opportunity to shape and lead the technology direction of a growing organisation, with genuine influence, autonomy and the ability to make a visible impact. You will work closely with the executive and leadership team, lead meaningful change, and build technology capability that supports both people and performance.
