Data Architect

to act as the technical guardian of our client's data ecosystem during a critical transition from bespoke legacy applications to modern off-the-shelf SaaS platforms.

The Opportunity

Location:

Brisbane or Gold Coast (Queensland-based).

Duration:

4-month initial contract.

Capacity:

Part-time (3 days per week; open to 2 days for the right candidate).

The Role As the Data Architect, you will bridge the gap between complex business requirements and technical execution. You will ensure that data remains a strategic asset throughout the migration, avoiding bottlenecks while moving toward standardized SaaS platforms.

Core Responsibilities

Strategic Data Modeling:

Analyze legacy structures and design target state schemas for CRM and Contact Centre environments to define the "Source of Truth".

Integration Design:

Create high-level blueprints for data flows, utilizing robust API strategies and ETL/ELT patterns to prevent data silos.

SaaS Transition Mastery:

Evaluate "out-of-the-box" features to minimize technical debt and advise the business on adjusting processes to fit modern software standards.

Governance & Security:

Establish standards for data privacy and security-critical for this sector-ensuring the migrated data is compliant, clean, and accurate.

About You

Experience:

Proven background as a Data Architect with deep expertise in data modeling and database design.

Migration Specialist:

A strong track record in data migrations, specifically transitioning from custom in-house applications to SaaS.

Analytical Depth:

Ability to translate high-level business goals into precise technical specifications for delivery teams.

Knowledge:

Comprehensive understanding of data governance, quality assurance, and lifecycle management.
