About the role:

As our Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll be responsible for managing Teachers Health’s business systems with a primary focus on Cloud environments. You’ll maintain, optimise, and support both Cloud and on-premise infrastructure, ensuring high performance, security, and compliance.

This role also offers the opportunity to collaborate across teams and stakeholders, contributing to strategic projects that support our mission and future growth.

Teachers Health was created by teachers for teachers over 70 years ago and is the only health fund dedicated to the education community. As a not-for-profit health fund, we exist for our members, covering the lives of over 400,000 teachers, education staff, and their families.

What You’ll Do

Manage and optimise Microsoft Azure and cloud infrastructure for performance and cost-efficiency Provide support for on-premise systems to ensure seamless hybrid operations Lead or support cloud solution design, system deployment, and integration projects Monitor and resolve security vulnerabilities, infrastructure risks, and performance issues Maintain accurate system documentation, network diagrams, and disaster recovery plans Carry out system patching, upgrades, and security maintenance Partner with vendors (including Microsoft) and internal teams to implement solutions aligned with our strategy Apply ITIL practices to incident, change, and problem management Support continuous improvement efforts and contribute to compliance reporting

What do you need?

Strong experience managing cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments Proven expertise in cloud architecture, cost optimisation, and security best practices Experience in system design, deployment, and project delivery Knowledge of IT governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks Familiarity with the ITIL service management model Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Ability to work across teams and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
