Senior Estimator

Doolee is a leading civil construction company operating across Australia, with offices in WA and NSW, delivering complex, high-quality infrastructure projects across a diverse range of sectors. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Sr Estimator to join our dynamic team and contribute to the success of our projects in WA.

Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates and high-quality tender submissions for civil construction and mining projects. The role involves quantity take-offs, cost analysis, risk assessment, and collaboration with project teams and subcontractors to support successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Analyse project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates for civil engineering projects.

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes.

Utilise industry-standard software and tools to perform quantity take-offs and cost analysis.

Prepare full tender submissions to a high standard, including but not limited to detailed estimates, materials, labour & equipment requirements, and overhead costs.

Evaluate and assess potential risks and opportunities associated with projects.

Present estimates to senior management and participate in bid review meetings.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, cost factors, and construction methods.

Qualifications and Experience

Relevant tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying.

Experience working as a Contracts Administrator on Civil Construction and Mining projects.

Experience in quantity surveying and estimating.

Experience in tender processes and procurement.

Strong negotiation and influencing skills.

High level of written and verbal communication skills.
