150,742 - 171,215 (Annual Gross)

Roles And Responsibilities

Collaborate with high-level design teams and provide services to assist and input into existing infrastructure by identifying customer and operational needs.

Provide architecture and technology infrastructure strategy for future direction by briefing new technologies and services available in the market; engage and participate in new design, solutions and development activities.

Design, upgrade, control and configure existing network and security systems by monitoring the environment, identifying gaps, evaluating and implementing enhancements, policies and procedures; solve highly complex issues.

Migrate legacy to SD‑WAN cloud solutions.

Implement network projects using established processes and best practice principles.

Prepare HLD/LLD (high‑level and low‑level diagrams).

Prepare BOM, design documents and technical presentations for clients.

Work closely with project managers and client technical authorities to ensure smooth delivery of project deliverables.

Direct and guide complex network implementation; design, install, configure and test data networks for complex and heterogeneous environments.

Adopt new infrastructure knowledge and work with stakeholders for design proposals.

Provide threat intelligence feeds so customers can understand current trends and make informed decisions about appropriate response actions.

Proactively perform maintenance for service lines such as fail‑over testing, device access audit, configuration audit, backup, patch level validation and document validation.

Work with network technologies including WAN/LAN/WLAN/SD‑WAN/MAN/MPLS/VPN and data communications technologies.

Use Palo Alto Firewalls, PRISMA, SASE; Cisco ACI & automation; Python & Splunk (plus).

Monitor using tools such as SolarWinds, Thousand Eyes, New Relic.

Work with IP routing protocols – BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, VRRP, LDP, RSVP, STP, RSTP, MSTP, Multicast, policy‑based routing.

Expert level knowledge of devices such as Cisco Nexus, SD‑WAN, Cisco SDA/DNAC, Bluecoat Security Platform, Cisco Web Security Appliances, CISCO ISE, firewalls and web application firewalls.

Prepare routine and ad‑hoc reporting including access attempts, rule status, configuration maintenance, outage reports, anomaly detection, and trend analysis.

Skills / Competencies

A thorough understanding of architectural design principles.

10+ years of experience.

Technical knowledge and experience managing large enterprise customer networks.

Self‑directed individual contributor with strong leadership and client relationship skills.

Excellent oral and written English communication skills; customer handling and stakeholder management.

Strong experience implementing and supporting networks for mid‑to‑large corporate customers.

Proven ability to work collaboratively with designers, architects, sales staff, field technicians and external customers.

Knowledge of current technological trends and developments in advanced networking.

Exposure to Cisco/Juniper/Riverbed/F5 technologies and data center networks.

Ability to influence, persuade and mobilize internal/external resources to fulfill customer requirements.

Demonstrated ability to build strong, effective customer relationships.

Well organized, multi‑tasking, problem‑solving, troubleshooting and strategic thinking skills.

Analytical skills to interpret IT user requests and understand end‑user requirements.

Candidate must be located within Australia – preferably in Sydney.

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution.

11+ years of IT experience.

10+ years directing and driving multiple large data center, cloud or infrastructure transformation programs.

10+ years of experience in end‑to‑end program and project planning, execution and reporting.

Developing, measuring, and reporting on program success.

Maintaining strong relationships with strategic programs and partners.

Monitoring program results against technical specifications.

Setting and communicating goals, metrics, monitoring progress; providing coaching and feedback to drive high performance.

Preferred Skills

Customer handling and stakeholder management skills.

Capability to work with people in different time zones.

Ability to operate in a fast‑paced, evolving environment and prioritize tasks.

Demonstrated ability to build strong, effective customer relationships.

Analytical skills to interpret IT user requests and understand end‑user requirements.

Solid knowledge of IT Service Management framework, practices, and process experience.

Service delivery tasks such as reporting, customer relationship, SLA management.

Additional Skills

Excellent customer interfacing skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong attention to detail and outstanding analytical and problem‑solving skills.
