Senior Consultant
opportunity availableto be based in
Brisbane.
As a Senior Consultant in the Social Planning team every day is different! You'll make an impact by:
Conducting primary and secondary research, including qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis, ABS and other publicly available data, literature review, social policy, social engagement outcomes and best practice trends in a range of social planning matters
Undertaking social planning methodologies, including social impact assessments and social infrastructure planning
Providing strategic advice, and identifying and delivering social value across a wide range of projects
Working collaboratively with colleagues across Urbis to lead fee proposals and tender responses, and deliver multidisciplinary projects
Developing client relationships by building trust, managing expectations and providing high-quality advice to internal and external clients on impacts and issues affecting communities
Preparing for and presenting effectively in a variety of forums, including client meetings, council presentations and community information sessions
Coaching and developing individuals with the team, as appropriate

Tertiary qualifications in social sciences, urban planning, geography or related discipline coupled with relevant demonstrated experience in social or strategic planning in a consultancy based environment
Have a deep understanding of the social challenges and opportunities facing communities in Queensland
Experience executing social assessment, such as social impact and benefits assessment, safety by design assessment, community needs analysis, and developer contributions advice
Demonstrated capability in preparing social strategies, plans, policies, social value strategies and frameworks
A
collaborative mindset , to bring out the best in yourself and others while bringing new thinking to Urbis and our clients
