Join us in a 12-month fixed‑term opportunity as a Technical Lead within our Digital Products team, where you’ll shape the technical direction of high‑impact initiatives and turn strategy into scalable, secure, and future‑ready solutions. Sitting at the intersection of business and technology, you’ll collaborate with Architects, stakeholders, and delivery partners to drive seamless application and integration outcomes, championing modern development practices, strong governance, and a culture of continuous improvement that lifts capability across the board.

Your Role in Action

Lead end‑to‑end technical delivery of ICT applications and integrations, guiding teams through design, build, test and deployment while ensuring adherence to architectural standards and specifications

Translate business vision into technical solutions, partnering with stakeholders to scope, plan and deliver initiatives that balance quality, timelines, budget and risk

Work closely with Architects to shape solution designs, validate technical approaches and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and strategic roadmaps

Drive contemporary Agile delivery practices (SCRUM or KANBAN), fostering collaboration, transparency and continuous feedback across internal and external teams

Champion engineering excellence, embedding modern development techniques, test‑driven practices and robust documentation to deliver secure, scalable outcomes

Oversee technology consistency and governance, ensuring development frameworks, tools and patterns align with the broader strategic technology landscape

Build trusted partnerships with vendors and service providers, proactively managing performance, expectations and delivery outcomes

Mentor and uplift technical capability, coaching developers and information specialists to strengthen skills and encourage innovation

What Makes You a Great Fit

Solid understanding of integration and security principles, including B2B and SOA frameworks, web services, secure deployment architecture, SSL/digital certificates and Secure SDLC practices

Proven experience partnering with external ICT service providers to design and deliver fit‑for‑purpose, high‑quality technology solutions

Strong knowledge of contemporary ICT development and project delivery methodologies, with the ability to apply them pragmatically

Confident communicator, able to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences

Demonstrated ability to translate solution architecture into practical, value‑driven business outcomes

Your Technical Toolkit Experience in

one

or more of the following technologies, with the curiosity and capability to learn and adopt new tools aligned to our strategy:

Java EE 8+ and modern frameworks

CI/CD and build tools (e.g. Jenkins, Maven, Bitbucket, Bamboo)

MuleSoft integration platform

Nintex process automation and workflow management

Oracle database design, development and optimisation

ETL technologies (e.g. Informatica)

Reporting and analytics platforms (e.g. Power BI, Qlik, Excel)
