The Role As a Mechanical Project Design Engineer, you'll be involved from concept through to delivery across commercial and high-rise residential projects. Expect a role that's hands‑on, technical, and central to project success. You'll be responsible for:

Participating in early tender and concept meetings

Completing heat load calculations, layouts, designs, and compliance checks

Translating conceptual ideas and value‑engineering options into practical, efficient engineered systems

Reviewing documentation for buildability and quality

Working closely with builders, internal teams, and key project stakeholders

Selection Criteria To be successful, you'll bring:

5+ years post‑grad Mechanical Design Engineer experience in HVAC (contractor or consultant background)

A degree in Mechanical Engineering

Minimum 3 years of Australian HVAC mechanical engineering experience

Proficiency in MS Office, Bluebeam, Camel, and Revit

Strong communication skills and an easy ability to collaborate

High attention to detail and a clear understanding of mechanical contracting

Ability to work independantly and as part of a team. This role is for a senior engineer and therefore you must be able to design systems independantly

The ability to juggle multiple projects and roll up your sleeves for both complex and simple tasks
