Senior SMP Engineer

Senior SMP Engineer-266490* Lead SMP engineering, design and technical assurance activities.* Review and develop structural layouts, mechanical equipment designs, piping layouts and isometrics.* Ensure all designs comply with project requirements, standards and regulations* Oversee calculations, specifications, datasheets and key engineering deliverables.* Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.* Lead HAZIDs, HAZOPs and design risk reviews.* Resolve complex engineering issues and support project commissioning.* Coordinate design activities across multiple engineering disciplines.* Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors and client representatives.* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.* 5+ years in a senior engineering role within power, energy or process plant sectors.* Experience in design‑for‑construction and multi‑disciplinary project environments.* Exposure to site‑based engineering highly regarded.* Proficiency in digital engineering tools (Autopipe, Microstran, Spacegass, Caesar II etc.).* Eligible for membership with Engineers Australia.* Strong communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills.When you join UGL, you’ll get to shape the nation alongside Australia’s best experts.
