General Counsellor

About The Role The role of the General Counsellor is to provide a supportive and collaborative environment where clients can discuss their concerns with a qualified counsellor and learn to develop insights, generate solutions and consider choices in a non‑judgmental environment. The general counselling service is designed for short–term interventions to work with people experiencing symptoms of mild anxiety and depression, grief and loss, and general life stressors.

Compliance All positions are subject to thorough credentialing and safety screening prior to commencing employment, including reference checks and a National Police Check. Prospective employees who have resided and worked overseas in the past 10 years for a continuous period of 12 months or more will be required to undergo an International Criminal History Check. Depending on the role, a current Working With Children check issued in Victoria and a current NDIS Clearance may be required.

In accordance with Department of Health Guidelines for Immunisation of Health Care Workers, all staff must demonstrate immunity to specific preventable diseases. The preferred applicant is required to provide evidence of immunisation (and/or serology) to confirm they are protected from risk.
