Disputes/Litigation Lawyers
At Ashurst Reach we have seen consistent demand from Ashurst clients seeking disputes/litigation lawyers in Melbourne. Skills and Experience Needed
You are an experienced disputes/litigation lawyer
You have the ability to advise business and key stakeholders in relation to investigations, reviews, enquiries and litigation on regulatory investigation matters
You are experienced in managing complex investigations and inquiries lead by bodies such as ASIC, ACCC and APRA
You have the ability to proactively review high‑risk areas to assess exposure from industry and regulatory developments
You have the ability to work closely with legal and regulatory teams to advise business stakeholders on regulatory risks and emerging issues
You have the ability to identify and monitor legal risks related to disputes and litigation, escalating issues as needed
You are solutions focussed with excellent professional and commercial judgement, decision making and problem solving skills
You have excellent written and verbal communication skills
You have superior drafting ability, technical and client management skills
You have a commercial approach and the ability to articulate and negotiate effectively
You have strong attention to detail with well‑developed analytical, communication and research skills
You have the ability to be team‑focused whilst also working independently
You have a proactive, positive and energetic approach with a commitment to providing excellent service and a desire to interact with the market and build client relationships
You have the ability to work under pressure, have the ability to persuade, think creatively and are committed to excellent client service
You are commercially astute and have a strong eye for detail
You have the ability to hit the ground running and work closely with a fast‑paced team
You have the ability to deal with changing priorities and deadlines, work autonomously and prioritise
You have a minimum of 5 years' experience
You have the ability to understand and adapt to the needs of the business
You have a current practising certificate
You have the right to live and work in Australia
Additional Requirements
The right to live and work in Australia (and be based here) and hold or be able to obtain a current practising certificate
Willingness to engage with Ashurst via an Incorporated Legal Practice or casual employment
