About the Role
This role is responsible for optimising content and products for customers by managing the fares warehouse, executing pricing strategies, and identifying gaps or opportunities. The Revenue Optimisation Team Leader will track brand, supplier, route, and customer performance to improve content and maximise revenue.
Primary Accountabilities & Objectives
Performance Analysis
Proactive and Regular monitoring of performance trends across our airline portfolio, spotting opportunities to optimise content performance
Deliver periodic updates to Brands, driving actions to improve their content and ensuring there are no missed opportunities or unexpected risks in our business
Support the rest of the Supply team with Performance Insights for their suppliers in your markets, including both financials and content opportunities
Create, monitor & deliver regular reporting on our air content strategy
Execute Content Strategies
Periodic analysis of all content available through our channels (daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly where appropriate)
Identify the impact of change in content available and decide on where to push suppliers for competitive content
Review with key stakeholders (Supply/Brands/Consultants) on any missed opportunity through incorrect use of content
Ensure the Pricing and Distribution side of the team is aware of any change so that their setup can be aligned with this strategy
Coordinate the actions with the various teams, using commercial judgement to prioritise accordingly. Present opportunities to increase front end margin and/or back-end income
Better Buying
Create and deliver Better Buying Strategy looking at all avenues and additional revenue opportunity including eGlobal Fares & Re-Shopping
Lead a team of eGlobal consultants to find and convert missed opportunities to improve ticket margin and/or savings to the customer
Skills & Experience
Understanding of GDS
Understanding of Fare content: Edifact & NDC
Excellent communicator: written, presentation, verbal
Strong understanding of Retail and Corporate Travel
Previous experience leading a team in a similar role
Highly skilled in Excel, PowerBI or other reporting systems
Have worked in the Travel and Airline Industry within a similar role
A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related degree or qualification
