About The Role
The Senior Estimator will coordinate the activities of the Estimating Team, allocate estimating resources, maintain client relationships, identify new opportunities and develop the expertise of key BMD staff in our Wayville office in Adelaide. You will be responsible for;
Training and development of BMD staff
Formulation and submission of tenders
Tender/contract negotiations post tender
Coordinating tender handovers with the Construction team
Maintaining up to date knowledge of industry standards
Estimating projects in;
Land development - Residential and Industrial Sub-divisions
Water / Sewer / Recycled Water upgrades for SA Water.
Road infrastructure and stormwater drainage for local councils and DIT.
To succeed in this role, you will need
10+ years’ experience in the Civil Construction industry
A mix of project and estimating experience is ideal
First principle estimating experience
Development of subcontractor work packages and review
General knowledge of the local market conditions to ensure maximum returns are achieved
Exposure to Expert Estimation or CATS is desirable
