Service Quality Officer Animal Welfare League SA – Multiple Positions | Full Time and Part Time | Based in Edinburgh North, SA

About the role Are you organised, detail-focused and passionate about delivering a quality service experience, end-to-end?

Animal Welfare League SA (AWL) is seeking compassionate and reliable Service Quality Officers to support our Cremations Department and help us provide exceptional care to our customers and vet partners during some of their most sensitive moments.

In this hands‑on and varied role, you’ll provide high‑quality administrative and customer service support, helping to ensure our cremation products and services are delivered with accuracy, dignity and care. You’ll work closely with our Service Quality Supervisor, Cremations team members, and external stakeholders to keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.

In this role, you will:

Support the day-to-day operations of AWL’s Cremations Department

Coordinate and maintain quality control processes to ensure exceptional products and services

Liaise with vet partners and other stakeholders in a professional and timely manner

Process orders, invoices and payments, and assist with other financial administration

Manage stock levels, including ordering, receiving and recording inventory

Prepare and dispatch memorial products with a strong focus on accuracy and presentation

Respond to phone and email enquiries, providing empathetic and helpful customer service

Keep systems, records and documentation accurate, up to date and compliant

Adhere to privacy, confidentiality and compliance requirements at all times

Success in this role will come from your ability to stay organised, work well with others, and maintain a high standard of care and professionalism.

About you You’re a team player who takes pride in doing things properly and supporting people with respect and sensitivity.

You will bring:

Experience in production, logistics, administration and/or customer service

A strong customer-focused approach, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, record-keeping and documentation

Good time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and work to KPIs and deadlines

The ability to work both independently and as part of a close-knit team

Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Office and confidence working with systems

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels

Just as importantly, you’ll be adaptable, reliable and aligned with AWL’s vision, mission and values.

Special requirements

Flexibility to work across a 14‑day roster.

Participation in an on‑call roster may be required

Additional hours may be required to meet business needs

A current driver’s licence is desirable

A current forklift licence, or willingness to obtain one upon commencement

Satisfactory National Police Clearance Certificate / National Police Check (NPC) at commencement and periodically as requested by AWL
